In order to increase patient safety, we are following all HSE and ICGP guidelines concerning the new coronavirus infection.
All patients with respiratory symptoms (cough, cold) etc will need to be spoken to by a doctor before they can be seen. Where possible we will manage the issue over the phone. If a patient needs to be seen they will be given a time to attend Newtown Medical centre. The patient must check in at the front door and return to their car. The doctor will phone or go and get the patient when they are to be seen.
No patients with respiratory issues will be seen in Monksland. Monksland medical centre will be reserved for other clinical issues to reduce infection spread. Any patients with a cough or cold contacting Monksland will be directed to Newtown.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept any walk-in patients as per current guidelines. All patients must phone the practice before they can be seen
